Favorites are bookmarked items that can be organized in your Personal Favorites or Shared Favorites within SmartMart. Creating favorites in SmartMart allows quick access to items needed for personal or group frequent purchase. This page provides instructions on how to create a favorite in SmartMart.

A Shared Favorites folder allows a group of people to share frequently purchased items in a folder or list and organize shopping items in subfolders if desired.

  1. Enter ofweb.stanford.edu in the browser
  2. Click Login
  3. As prompted, log in using SUNet ID and password
  1. Select SU Internet Procurement
  2. Select SmartMart
  1. Enter the frequent purchase item in the search field
  2. Select Go
  3. Select add favorite link of the desired item
  1. Update item information
    • Nickname
    • Quantity
    • Description (optional)

 

Create a Personal Favorite Folder
  1. Select the Add New drop-down arrow in the Step 2: Select Destination Folder section
  2. Select Top level personal folder
  3. Name the folder
  4. Enter the folder description
  5. Select Save Changes
Create a Shared Favorite Folder
  1. Select the Add New drop-down arrow in the Step 2: Select Destination Folder section
  2. Select Top level shared folder
  3. Name the folder
  4. Enter the folder description
  5. Select User from the Add Access drop-down menu in the Folder Access section
  6. Select Search to find users to share this folder
  7. Enter any search criteria to find users
  8. Click Select to the personThe person is added to the Users list.
  9. Select folder access level next to each user's name
    • Read-only (limited access). Users can only add favorites from this folder to their shopping cart.
    • Editor (mid-level access). Users can add and remove items in the folder.
    • Admin (full access). Users can add or remove items from the shared folder and add or remove users who can access the folder. Additionally, users with admin access can add or remove users and sub-folders.
  10. Select Save Changes
Select an Existing Favorite Folder
  1. Select a previously created folder in the Step 2: Select Destination Folder section
  2. Select Save Changes
What Happens Next?
  • Access Favorites by selecting the Favorites tab then highlight the folder to view contents.

There are two primary means of placing orders using items in personal or shared favorites.

  • Shopping – Items marked as favorites will show in search results
  • Favorites – Retrieve pre-saved favorite items from the Favorites folder

From Search Results

During product searches, favorites will be displayed in the search results at the top, with a yellow star next to the quantity.

From Favorite Folders
  1. Select Favorites link below the search field, in the Go to section
  2. Select Expand All to see all Personal or Shared Favorite folders available to you from the left panel
  3. Select a folder
  4. Modify the quantify if needed
  5. Select Add to Cart to add an individual item, or use the checkboxes to select multiple favorite items, select Actions for Selected Favorites  drop-down menu, and select Add to CartYou can also Edit, Move , Copy or Delete a favorite, depending on your permission of the folder.

SmartMart provides users with the ability to manage personal favorites and utilize shared favorite folders, such as Stanford Favorites, or create a personal group or shared favorite folders for a department or group's use. You can:

  • Edit details
  • Move favorites to other folders
  • Remove favorites
  • Remove folders

  1. Select Favorites link below the search field, in the Go to section

  3. Select a favorite folder from the Personal or Shared section from the left panel
  1. On the top right corner, select an option from the Folder Actions drop-down menu. Depending on your privilege, you may perform the following actions:
    • Folder Admin - Show the list of folder administrators
    • Edit – Edit name and/or description of the selected folder
    • Move - Move the selected folder to a new location
    • Copy – Copy the selected folderYou cannot move or copy a top level folder.
    • Delete – Remove the folder and all of its subfoldersIt’s only possible to delete items from a Personal folder or a Shared folder where Admin privileges are given.
