Travel Management Fees Reduced or Eliminated

Good news! In July, the Stanford Travel team reduced or eliminated travel management fees for Egencia and FCM.

Travelers can request assistance from an Egencia agent (for bookings made on or after July 6) without incurring any additional fees. Agent-assisted airline booking fees have also been reduced from $40 to $25 for reservations made with FCM.

Tips for Summer Travel

Frequent mass cancellations and flight delays are creating chaos for travelers this summer.

Here are some tips to help you navigate your travel better:
  • Download the airline's app and opt in to notifications to receive timely flight status updates.
  • Airline ticket exchanges are exempt from the travel booking policy. Once the initial reservation has been made with Stanford Travel, it is permissible to exchange tickets directly with the airlines as needed (e.g., at the airport if a flight has been cancelled or delayed).
  • If you need to make changes to your reservation, many airlines and booking channels now offer "agent chat" options on their apps, which allows you to call, text or video chat live with an agent instead of standing in line at the gate.

Have you tried eReceipts?

The eReceipts app helps users digitize and manage travel and business expense receipts.

Whether you submit receipts for reimbursement or review and process them, FMS encourages you to learn more about eReceipts either at one of our virtual events in August or September or via the Fingate eReceipts page.
