This booking option is best suited for individual travelers who prefer to book their flight arrangements directly with the airlines.

Stanford Travel Connect is a portal that allows travelers to easily link multiple airline loyalty accounts to the Stanford Travel Program with a one-time setup. Currently, Stanford Travel Connect supports several major airlines, with plans to expand to more in the future.
Stanford Travel Connect Features and Benefits
- Stanford’s negotiated discount will automatically apply when logged into your airline loyalty account directly on the airline’s website or app.
- Additional benefits, such as priority re-accomodation in the event of a travel disruption, may apply.
- The Stanford Travel team can provide specialized assistance as needed to travelers.
- Eligible to receive promotional offers exclusive to the Stanford Travel Program.
- After linking, any business reservations booked through the airline are automatically sent to and updated in the Travel Registry, which connects the reservation to Stanford’s provider of traveler assistance.
- Some airlines may also provide personal travel discounts to travelers who register with Stanford Travel Connect.
The university will only see business travel booked through your loyalty account. Personal travel and private information will remain confidential. Transaction Preparers: If the airline receipt references Stanford University, Corporate Fare or Corporate Discount, select “Stanford Travel - Stanford Travel Connect” as the Travel Booking Method.
Access
All active faculty, staff, students, and affiliates have access to Stanford Travel Connect. Due to Stanford’s single sign-on (SSO) requirements, Stanford travelers must access Stanford Travel Connect by logging into Stanford Travel Connect with their Stanford University email address. Only use your SUNet ID @stanford.edu. The site will not accept alias or other emails domains.
In order to access the program’s benefits and discounts, users are required to link each of their loyalty accounts prior to booking travel. Travelers will only need to return to the portal to link additional airlines as they come online.
After your loyalty account has been linked, simply log into your account directly on the airline’s website or app to make a reservation.
To ensure timely delivery of travel alerts, the Stanford Travel team highly recommends downloading the airline mobile apps and any other travel supplier apps relevant to your travel itinerary.
Guest and Multi-Person Travel of Nine or Fewer People
- Review the airline's policy on the Stanford Travel Connect website to determine whether guest and multi-person travel is possible.

Groups of 10 or More People and Meetings
