The first time you "punch out" to Amazon Business through SU Internet Procurement, you will be prompted to create an Amazon Business account. Use your Stanford.edu email address and enter a password. This page provides help with common scenarios that users encounter with first-time punch-out account registration.

Your password should be different from your SUNet password, and you will need to remember it for future use within Amazon Business.
If your Stanford.edu email address is already associated with an Amazon.com account, you will have the option to split off and transfer any purchase history to a separate account. You will be prompted to enter a new, personal email address for personal Amazon purchases.
If you don’t have an existing Amazon.com account tied to your Stanford.edu email address, after punching out, you will be provided step-by-step instructions to create your new account login for Stanford’s central Amazon Business account.

- Please be sure to use your full name when completing the account registration form (First Last) and use a password that is different than your SUNet password. Please remember the password for future use within Amazon Business.
- Once your account has been created, you can start shopping.

Stanford.edu email addresses previously registered with another Amazon Business account must be de-registered to become available for the central Stanford University Amazon Business account at, https://www.amazon.com/gp/b2b/manage/deregister
If you already have an existing Amazon.com account tied to your Stanford.edu email address and utilize the account solely for business purchases, you can migrate your existing account to Stanford’s central Amazon Business account.
- After punching out, sign in using the same password that you already use for your existing Amazon.com account.
- To migrate this account, including order history, select Use My Existing Account.
- Confirm that you will be using this account solely for Business purchasing. This will not affect any personal Amazon accounts you have set up with different email addresses.

- Once your Stanford.edu account has been migrated, you can start shopping.
If you already have an existing Amazon.com account tied to your Stanford.edu email address and utilize the account for business and personal purchases, Amazon recommends changing your existing account to a personal email address in order to associate your Stanford.edu email address only with Stanford’s central Amazon Business account.
- After "punching out", sign in using the same password that you already use for your existing Amazon.com account.
- To separate the two accounts, select Create a Separate Account
- Update the email address on your existing account to a different, personal email address.
Complete the registration steps to associate your Stanford.edu email address with Stanford’s central Amazon Business account.
