Request an Off-Cycle Stipend Payment

Stipends are used when someone needs financial support to participate in educational, research, or training activities that don't qualify as regular employment.

Individuals receiving a stipend are usually:

  • Graduate students in a fellowship program
  • Postdoctoral scholars on fellowships
  • Other non-matriculated graduate students in the GFS program.

Stanford’s Graduate Financial Support (GFS) administrators can request an off-cycle stipend payment if a student needs to be paid before their next regular payday.
