The Stanford Travel Program provides a range of travel services to the Stanford University community. Collaborating closely with more than 50 travel partners, the Stanford Travel team negotiates customized agreements and exclusive benefits across hotels, airlines, and ground transportation, continuously refining partnerships and pricing to deliver measurable savings for the university and better travel experiences for travelers.

Throughout the 2025 fiscal year, the Stanford Travel team prioritized ease of booking—streamlining the Stanford Travel Program offerings to reduce friction and simplify trip planning—while continuing to deliver exceptional, customer-focused support to university travelers and travel arrangers. Here are just a few examples of the many ways the team supported campus:

  • Launched Stanford Travel Connect, enabling travelers to easily link their airline loyalty accounts to the Stanford Travel Program and then book directly on the airline's website or mobile app. Over 5,500 travelers were enrolled by the end of FY25!
  • Guest booking solutions streamlined reservations for nearly 3,000 guests, improving travel coordination and efficiency for travel arrangers.
  • Saved $118,000 for campus units and departments by leveraging Egencia Hotel and Airfare Savings Finder to secure lower rates and fares post-booking.
  • Achieved a 49% reduction in General Program Information support requests through enhanced resources and strategic communications, while maintaining a satisfaction rating of 4.9/5 on complex requests for support with issues related to travel disruptions and cancellations.
  • Expanded booking flexibility by partnering with several ground transportation and hotel partners, allowing university travelers to book directly while still receiving Stanford-negotiated discounts and benefits.
