Decommit a Hard or Soft Goods and Services Commitment in CMS
Before You Start
The decommit process allows you to exclude Hard or Soft Commitments from CMS account balances and reports. Hard Purchase Order Commitments in Oracle will not be impacted. Once decommitted, you can recommit Hard Commitments. Note however, that you cannot recommit a decommitted Soft Commitment.
- Enter ofweb.stanford.edu in the browser
- Click Login
- As prompted, log in using SUNet ID and password
- Click SU CMS USER
- Select the Goods and Services tab
- Enter account (PTA) search criteria from the Manage Goods and Services screen
- Select Go – Execute Your Search
- Find the Hard or Soft Commitment in search results
- Select the box in the Decommit in CMS column to select commitments you wish to de-commit
- Select Save
What Happens Next?
- If desired, you can recommit a Hard PO Commitment by de-selecting the checkbox in the Decommit in CMS column.
- You cannot recommit a Soft Goods and Services Commitment once decommitted.
