Finance Authority Dashboard
Displays the scope of authority granted to and granted by individuals that originated within Authority Manager. This report is designed to use prompts consistent with our financial reporting institutional dashboards. Use this report to query all authority (both financial and non-financial system authority). You must have Financial Reporting authority to run this report, otherwise use Authority Reports which is accessed from the Authority Manager home page or from OBI reporting.
Sample Business Questions
- Who in my organization has a specific privilege for transactions or for approvals?
- Who has specific privileges for a specific organization?
- What is the authority for a specific individual?
- Who has the ability to grant authority for a specific activity?
Selection Criteria
To retrieve results, be sure to follow the Selection Criteria instructions near the top of the screen. Refer to Using Selection Criteria for OBI Reports for more guidance.
Inputting multiple selection criteria will provide more detailed reporting and may improve performance.
Type of authority grant:
- Selecting a System will display only relevant options for Business Function, which when selected, will show only relevant Privileges.
- Selecting Grantable returns the name of individuals that can currently grant authority and specifies the particular privilege and organization.
Organization:
- Scope Organization returns the individuals who have authority for the specified org or higher scope orgs in that orgs lineage. When using this criteria the parent lineage up to AAOO is displayed.
- Grantee Organization returns grantees whose job assignment falls under the selected Org Hierarchy.
- Grantor Organization returns grantees and their related authority grants that have been given by a grantor currently within the job assignment org.
Individual authority:
- Grantee SUNet is used to report on a specific individual’s (grantee) authority grants.
- Grantor SUNet is used to report on an individual (grantor) who has granted authority to other users.

Displays authority grants by individual grantees.
Displays data with row suppression turned off, includes columns for grantors, and allows for export of data into an Excel file for further analysis.
Displays approval grants and the grantees who have that approval authority and their approval limits.
