Reference Data and Inquiry (INQ) Dashboard
The Reference Data and Inquiry Dashboard displays financial reference data about PTAs, award information, expenditure and object codes and organizations (orgs).

PTA Inquiry
PTA Inquiry displays attribute information about projects, tasks and awards.
Sample Business Questions
- What PTAs should I use when coding expenditure and revenue information for purchase and journal entries?
- What are all the active PTAs, by award type, owned by the faculty in my organization?
Selection Criteria
You can select one or more PTAs to display attribute information or you can display all PTAs under an organization. You can also use the multi-select feature for specifying the owner or manager perspective.
You can narrow the selection of PTAs returned by specifying the award status, award type or purpose among other selection criteria.

Report Views
There are four different reports to view by using the Report Selection pull-down:
PTA Reports
PTA Reports is divided into three sections: Award Data, Project Data and Task Data. In each section, the results can be displayed in the default view or the tabular view.
Drill on Award Number to view the Award Fund Authorization report and Project Number to see a list of chargeable expenditure type codes (Transaction Controls).
Consolidated PTA Listing
Consolidated PTA listing can be viewed from different PTA perspectives by choosing from one of the Report Selection options.
Displays the owning organizations of the listed awards, projects and tasks.
Displays the owners and managers of the listed awards, projects and tasks.
Displays the start and end dates of the listed awards, projects and tasks.
Displays the data in a format for data download and analysis.
Drill on Award Number to view the Award Fund Authorization report and Project Number to see a list of chargeable expenditure type codes (Transaction Controls).
Legacy Report
This report is designed to mimic the RM3 229 report. This report is not customizable.
Configuration Report
The Configuration report displays the attributes of award, project and task of the selected PTAs including:
- Alternate PTA
- Award Closeout Information
- Roles
- Budget

Expenditure Type and Object Code Search
This report provides a listing of available expenditure types and object codes.
Sample Business Questions
- What expenditure types and object codes should I use when coding expenditure and revenue information for purchase and journal entries?
- What are all expenditure types and object codes under an expenditure type category?
- What are all the unallowable expenditure types and object codes in the university?
Selection Criteria
By selecting the proper radio button, the selection criteria screen will be redrawn to allow you to search for either expenditure types or object codes.
Many of the selection criteria fields not only allow you to select from a list of values, but you can also enter in a text string for those selection criteria fields that specify begins with and contains any.

Org Inquiry
This report returns lineage information about organizations and who within an organization can grant Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Financial Reporting authority access.
Sample Business Questions
- What is my organization's hierarchy lineage? Who are my parent, sibling, and children orgs?
- Who in my organization can grant me OBI Report Viewer and/or Intermediate Ad Hoc User authority?
Selection Criteria
You can enter a text string for Org Name and it will return any organizations that contain that text in their name. It is not case-sensitive.

Report Views
- The Org Base Level Number indicates what level the indicated org resides in the org code hierarchy, where level 1 represents Stanford University as a whole.
- The Org Last Node Indicator signifies whether the listed org has no children organizations.
- The Org Hierarchy Lineage is the concatenated org codes of all parents in the org code hierarchy and the listed org, separated by dashes.
Drilling on Org Code will display details about Org Code Lineage for that org, as well as grantors for authority for OBI Financial Reporting.
- The top section displays information about the organization that was drilled on. Below it displays the parent lineage, sibling lineage and the children lineage for that organization.
- Selecting any org link will refocus the lineage sections to redisplay based on that organization selected.
- Displays for the org selected, those individuals who have the authority to grant OBI report view or OBI Ad Hoc access.
- Displays grantors at a higher parent org level who can grant OBI access, which is particularly important if there is no grantor at the selected org level.

Award Configuration Report
The Award Configuration report displays the award configuration and associated attributes. It is a non-customizable, BI Publisher report and is similar to the RM3 FIN_REF_216 report.

- What is my award's funded amount, award funding source, award terms and conditions and award personnel?
Selection Criteria
- The Selection Criteria section is located on the left hand side of the screen. Make sure to fill in an award number(s) or replace the XXXXX with a % wildcard if you are using the Award SPO Number.

The Fund Authorization report displays the fund authorization and associated attributes. It is a non-customizable, BI Publisher report and is similar to the RM3 FIN_REF_225 report.

- For given activities, which awards can I allocate expenditures to?
- What is the appropriate way to spend unused balance on an award?

- The Selection Criteria section is located on the left hand side of the screen. Enter an award number or multiple award numbers separated by commas.

The Fund Authorization report is a non-customizable, BI Publisher report that displays award setup information pertinent to Fund Accounting and includes the fund authorization long text. This report is similar to the RM3 FIN_REF_225 report.
The Fund Authorization report is real-time (not overnight processed data).
