Quick Steps: Authorize Others to View / Print / Pay the University Bill

When? Students choose to add or remove others' access to their University Bill account.
How? Using the Stanford ePay web application

Authorize Others to View / Print / Pay the University Bill (2 steps)
Launch the Stanford ePay home page:
- Launch Axess at https://axess.stanford.edu/.
- Enter your SUNet ID and password as prompted.
- Click the link on the Web Authentication window.
- Select the Home or Finances tab.
- Click Stanford ePay Login link.
Note: Check the Message Board for important messages.
Add an authorized payer to your Stanford ePay account:
- Click Authorized Payer from the left hand menu options.
- Click Add New.
- Enter the Name of the person you wish to have as a new authorized payer.
- Enter a user name for the Authorized Payer in the Create Login Name field.
- Enter a temporary Password for the Authorized Payer.
- To Confirm Password, re-enter the temporary password.
- Enter the Authorized Payers Email address.
- Click Add button.
Note: A page will display your current list of Authorized Payers (if any). You may add up to a total of five Authorized Payers to your account.
Note: This button will only appear when you have four or less Authorized Payers.
Note 1 – IMPORTANT: User name and password are case-sensitive. Be sure to provide the exact user name and password to your authorized payer(s).
Note 2: Password and Login Name must be at least six (6) characters long and should include alpha and numeric characters.

Note: Your new Authorized Payer will be added to your list of Authorized Payers. You may enter additional names as needed up to a total of five.
What Happens Next?
- The Authorized Payer will receive a system generated email. The email includes the Authorized Payer's user name and instructs them to contact the student to learn their password (Note: User name and password are case-sensitive).
- The student should provide the Authorized Payer with the temporary password they created.
- Once the Authorized Payer logs into Stanford ePay with the temporary password provided by the student, the system will prompt them to reset their password.
Delete an Authorized Payer (2 steps)
Launch the Stanford ePay home page:
- Launch Axess at https://axess.stanford.edu/.
- Enter your SUNet ID and password as prompted.
- Click the link on the Web Authentication window.
- Select the Home or Finances tab.
- Click Stanford ePay Login link.
Note: Check the Message Board for important messages.
Delete an authorized payer from your Stanford ePay account:
- Click Authorized Payer from the left hand menu options.
- Click the Delete icon next to the name of the Authorized Payer you wish to delete.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes button to confirm deletion.
Note: A page will display your current list of Authorized Payers (if any).
What Happens Next?
- A system generated email is sent to the Authorized Payer informing them that they are no longer authorized to access the student account.
