Quick Steps: Grant Permission to Apply Financial Aid Funds to All Charges on My University Bill
Who does this? Stanford Students receiving federal, state, institutional and/or outside financial aid disbursements (excluding Parent PLUS loans) who wish to have dispersed aid applied to all charges
When? When a student wants aid funds to be automatically applied to all University bill charges, including expenses that are not recognized in the standard Cost of Attendance used by the Financial Aid Office. Granting permission can be done at anytime during the student's career at Stanford, through the Student Center in Axess.
How? Using a feature in Axess to "Grant Permission" for aid to be applied to all charges.
Note: In most cases, financial aid is automatically applied to certain charges on the University Bill. However, some types of charges cannot be automatically paid with financial aid funds because these expenses are not included in the standard Cost of Attendance used by the Financial Aid Office. Examples include late study list fees, dorm damage fees and early arrival housing fees. However, if you sign up for Student Permissions, your financial aid funds will be applied to all of these charges.
