Gateway Service for Online Store Operations
Stanford eCommerce operates a Gateway Service to which campus merchants can
- Connect their storefront application
- Securely collect credit card payments
- Return card authorization/transaction identifiers back to the storefront web site
Event Planning Service
Stanford eCommerce has contracted with an industry leading Application Service Provider (ASP), Certain Registration, to provide event site hosting and registration management services. Through the Certain Registration service, departments can:
- Design and deploy a conference, symposium, or other event web site using templates, free-form design tools, or copies of archived events
- Deploy event registration pages to collect a variety of standard and custom event registrant information, including travel and hotel booking integration
- Securely conduct online payment processing including management of refunds to customer credit cards. Additionally, track off-line payments (e.g. mailed in or onsite payment by check or cash)
- Manage event production tasks such as printing of name tags, place cards, sign-in sheets, and distribution and tracking of mass communications with registrants
- Manage event resources such as equipment, room capacities, hotel room block inventories, as well as event budgets and expenses
- Access free online training to learn the power and capabilities of the Certain Registration application.
- Access professional services and toll-free customer care to facilitate rapid deployment of their event registration site

e-Billing and ePayment Service
Stanford has contracted with an industry leading application service provider, Nelnet Business Solutions, to deliver electronic bill presentment and payment acceptance services. This service, known as QuikPAY, currently underpins Stanford ePay, the online billing service available to all Stanford students and their authorized payers through the Axess portal.
Two important features of this service are:
- acceptance of eCheck (a.k.a. ACH or Direct Debit) from a customer's domestic checking or savings account as a form of payment
- availability of a credit card service charge program (for eligible merchants, products, and services), under which the cost of accepting credit card payments is passed along to the customer in the form of a service charge

Paciolan Service for Online Ticketing and Venue Management
Although currently utilized exclusively by the Stanford Athletic Department, Stanford has contracted with the industry leader in collegiate athletic ticketing to provide online sales and venue management capabilities to Stanford.
